Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Statuslane ("the service"), operated from the European Union. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

Statuslane lets you publish public status pages, post incident updates, and notify subscribers by email. We aim for high availability but we make no specific uptime guarantee while in beta.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One person or organisation per account. Don't share credentials.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Statuslane to send spam, harass people, impersonate others, host illegal content, or attack the service. You may not use Statuslane to send marketing emails — it's for transactional incident communication only.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you publish. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it for the purpose of running the service. You're responsible for the legality and accuracy of what you publish.

5. Subscribers

Email subscribers must confirm via double opt-in. Every notification email includes one-click unsubscribe. You may not import subscriber lists from elsewhere without their explicit consent.

6. Beta and pricing

Statuslane is in beta and currently free. Pricing for paid tiers will be announced before any charges begin, with at least 30 days' notice. You can cancel anytime.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with reasonable notice except for severe abuse.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue resulting from missed notifications.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect.
